Summer
WCTC Member rates per night, including GST, plus food:
- Adult (19 years and older) – $12.00
- Child (5 to 18 years inclusive) – $6.00
- Child (under 5 years) – Free
Affiliated* non-members rates per night, plus food:
- Adult (19 years and older) – $18.00
- Child (5 to 18 years inclusive) – $9.00
- Child (under 5 years) – Free
Non-member rates per night, including GST, plus food:
- Adult (19 years and older) – $24.00
- Child (5 to 18 years inclusive) – $12.00
- Child (under 5 years) – Free
* A WCTC affiliated non-member is a: Qualified or trainee teacher or medical professional, an employee / member of the emergency services (Police, Ambulance, Fire Service, Rural Fire Service, Volunteer Fire Service, Search & Rescue, Life Flight), an employee of DOC, member of a tramping club belonging to the Federated Mountain Clubs Association, member of a club with a lodge on Mt Ruapehu.
The Club offers group deals for school groups, and others block booking the Lodge on a one-off or regular basis.
Important Stuff
Cost of food is extra. The cost of food is calculated by, and paid to the trip leader, and includes a cooked breakfast, and two course cooked dinner. Some trip leaders also provide lunch ingredients. The average cost of food is between $12-$16 per person per day. Please contact the trip leader for further information. Other than for special diets, please do not bring your own food.
The Trip Leader produces a roster for cooking, washing up and cleaning. All able-bodied guests, including capable children, are expected to assist.
The minimum period to stay at the Lodge is two nights. Pre-payment in full is required to confirm a booking. Requests for refunds are at the discretion of the Club committee, such as where ill-health, bereavements or other serious personal issues intervene.
Winter
Usually from July to mid-October, are double the Summer rates.
